Our direct contact in Ukraine is Kristina Vermenicheva, Attorney at the Department of Justice of Ivano-Frankivski. More than 3 million refugees in less than three weeks have fled Ukraine. But some of them cannot leave the country for many reasons. Kristina Vermenicheva volunteers at the Center of Social Assistance of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, supporting families fleeing the war - mainly mothers and children and pregnant women in need of care as they prepare for childbirth. Refugees hosted at the Center urgently need food, clothing, and medicines. Kristina also organizes accommodations in private houses and provides psychological support to mothers and children in shock. Financial help could also help refugees to leave the country. As state funds are limited, Kristina opened a bank account in USD to collect contributions from anyone willing to help concretely and directly refugees in need.
